About Gatuzo
The gatuzo is a small and common shark on the coast of Buenos Aires, with a grey body and small light spots, and flat teeth that it uses to crush crabs and other crustaceans. It moves close to the bottom in coastal waters and is a common catch in coastal and offshore fishing. Like other sharks, it grows slowly and its populations are declining, so it is advisable to release it alive in sport fishing.
