About Carpa

The carp is a species of Asian origin, introduced decades ago, that has spread through lagoons, reservoirs and flatland rivers, including the Río de la Plata. It feeds on the bottom on seeds, larvae and small invertebrates. It is resistant, distrustful and very strong, which is why it has given rise to its own form of fishing, carpfishing, with baits and setups designed for large specimens. Many anglers practice it with a return.
